About Me
My Philosophy
I’m Jacqueline and I’m happy you have come to my website.
Helping people thrive is my passion.
As a psychotherapist it is a privilege to join people on their journey of self-discovery, growth and healing from pain.
I know that reaching out is not easy. It is difficult to be vulnerable and share your pain with a stranger.
If you come to see me, you can expect someone who is warm, friendly and approachable.
I believe everyone is unique, so I will meet you where you are at, and together we can explore what’s holding you back, and find ways to help you live a more fulfilling life.
A little about me
If you are coming to talk to me, it is only reasonable you may have some questions about who I am.
I was born and raised in Dublin, and now live in Kildare with my husband and daughter.
In addition to maintaining a psychotherapy practice, I also have over 15 years’ experience working in a university setting, providing support to students. I absolutely love this work. It has given me a wealth of experience of the challenges facing university students.
Having been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 3 years of age, has also given me a unique and deeply personal insight into the issues and daily struggles that are often faced by many who live with long term chronic medical conditions. While everyone’s experience will be different, I believe this is valuable experience that I bring into the therapy room. I am currently completing an MSc in Psychotherapy and the experiences of psychotherapy in people with type 1 diabetes is the focus of my dissertation.
In my spare time, I like to go for walks in the many beautiful parks around Kildare.
Academic and other relevant qualifications
I am a fully qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist with a graduate diploma in clinical psychotherapy from Turning Point/UCC. I am currently completing my MSc in psychotherapy which I am due to complete in October 2023. I am a pre-accredited member of iacp and I abide by their code of ethics and practice.
